One-minute setup: use your own Colab
No need to read from the top. Tell the page what you already have, and it only shows the step you need.
STEP 01
Check your compute
H3 runs on Colab in your own Google account. If you already have Colab Pro+, Google AI Pro, or Google AI Ultra, go straight to step 2.
STEP 02
Get the Drama Pie plan
The plan gives you points, projects, and Canvas. H3 compute still runs on your own Colab.
Price, points, and entitlements are on the purchase page and billed at the live rate.
What's in the plan?
- Points: granted monthly, spent on generations.
- Projects and episodes: according to the plan you pick.
- Media storage: for assets and finished videos.
- Canvas: included.
After checkout you'll land back on plan.dramapie.com; the next step is under Account in the left menu.
STEP 03
Connect Colab
Authorize once. Every H3 job then runs on your own Colab.
In the Colab card, click Connect Colab, choose the Google account with your Colab plan, and allow access.
How do I know it worked?
The card shows Connected: your email. Then click Test and check remaining CU; if you see a balance, you're set.
STEP 04 · OPTIONAL
Generate: pick one of three paths
No need to read all three. Open the one you'll use.
All three share the same account and points.
Playground · Fastest way to see a result
- Open the Video tab in Playground and choose colab-h3.
- Add reference images; click a thumbnail's role tag to switch between Reference / First frame / Last frame.
- Write a prompt with <Picture 1> and <Picture 2>; pick 5–15 seconds and 720p, then submit.
- Start with one 5-second shot; once the characters look right, turn on Multi-task to batch.
Example: one character sheet plus one location still, 5 seconds; prompt "<Picture 1> is Lin Xia, <Picture 2> is the rooftop."
Canvas · Arrange and iterate
- Create a video node on the canvas.
- Set the mode to General reference in the video settings.
- Connect character and location images to the node, up to 9; write a prompt and generate.
Canvas gets a device key automatically after sign-in; you don't paste an API key.
API · Wire it into your own flow
- Create a key on the API Keys page at plan.dramapie.com; the full key is shown once.
- Base URL is https://api.dramapie.com; send Authorization: Bearer <key>.
- After creating a job, poll it with the id until status is completed, then download.
See the API docs for every field and error code.

If something goes wrong
Skip this unless you're stuck.
Google AI Pro is active, but no CU yet?
Colab benefits roll out in batches and can lag. Try starting a GPU runtime in Colab first; if it's still missing, hold off on batch jobs or use Colab Pro+.
No GPU available, or startup is slow?
Colab allocates GPUs dynamically; when none are free you wait in a queue. Try again later; jobs that wait past the timeout fail and refund the points.
A job failed. Are the points refunded?
Yes, the task fee is refunded in full; jobs that don't finish within 2 hours fail and refund automatically. CU already consumed by Colab is billed by Google and can't be refunded.
How are images numbered in <Picture N>?
By upload order. First and last frames come first, then ordinary references: with one first frame and two references, <Picture 1> is the first frame and <Picture 2/3> are the references. If you don't mark keyframes and only send image[], a file name starting with first_ or ending in _last is used to infer its role.
How long are videos kept? Is that the plan storage?
Rendered videos are kept for 24 hours, up to 1 GB per account; older files are cleaned up. Plan media storage is a separate pool for project assets. Download anything you want to keep.
How many jobs can run at once?
Colab caps concurrency per account. For batches, create one job, wait for its id, then create the next; reusing the same machine saves CU.
Do I need Colab Pro+?
No. Google AI Pro is enough: it costs less and includes Colab compute. Pro+ works too, but each job here runs for a few minutes and stops; we don't rely on background execution.
